This morning I logged into my Radish profile and was met with a disheartening update. Radish announced that, come the end of this year, they would be ending service and closing their doors. Stories will still be available to read or purchase up until the end of day on December 31st, 2025.

My heart goes out to all the writers who are well established on Radish, and who may have been reliant on their income earned on the platform. I hope everyone is able to find new homes for their stories quickly and seamlessly.

I myself am a very new Radish writer. I launched my first story very recently, on May 9th, 2025. Although I have gotten a few reads, I'm nowhere near what you would call established. It's new enough for me that it would be easy to pivot away from the platform and focus elsewhere.

For anyone out there who was reading and following along with The Constructor, as of today I will no longer be releasing the story on Radish. I apologize for this, especially if you were enjoying the read.

Now that certainly doesn't mean I'm abandoning the story. Far from it. I have some other serial fiction platforms I'm looking into. I'm undecided if I will continue publishing serially. My original intention was to start work on expanding and rewriting The Constructor into a full novel once the serial was complete. With Radish no longer a viable option, I could redirect my energy into the book itself. But I still have some time to decide.

If you were a reader of The Constructor on Radish, and you'd like to be kept up to date and notified on where to continue reading, be sure to subscribe at the bottom of the main blog page or on the News page.

It's sad news to hear that Radish is shutting down, especially for writers and readers that have been using it for a long time. I appreciate that they gave everyone ample notice, letting us all know six months in advance, so that those who need to find new homes for their stories have the time to do so.

I wish the best for everyone involved.

Until next time,

~Remy
